Distributor is 100% new and comes with new rotor and distributor cap. 
 
These distributors use an electronic hall effect sensor to replace your old points style ignition.  No more replacing and adjusting points as they wear.  These units have the ignition module built into the sensor, so they are only a two wire connection, one wire to each side of the ignition coil.  It's that simple!

Hall Effect sensor The hall effect sensor also allows for optimum dwell angle which lets your igntion coil charge for the max amount of time, giving you the biggest spark possible, increasing burn efficiency of the air/fuel mixutre.  This means more power, or less fuel used, depending on how you drive.  This sensor is used instead of the old style points, and no adjustment is required..... ever.

 

100% Brand New You're getting a complete new replacement distributor with a new cap and new rotor.  All the sub-assemblies like the mechanical advance unit is new and working perfectly, and the vacuum advance canister won't be leaking like the original ones do as they get older.

 

Installation I have fitted one of these to my own vehicle and it was one of the easiest and cost effective upgrades I have made.  The engine was instantly more responsive and felt more powerful.  Installation is so simple. 

 

They just drop in with a two wire hookup.  Unlike other electronic distributors, the ignition module is built into the sensor unit, so there is nothing else to wire up. 

 

1 - Undo mounting bolt for original distributor and remove.
2 - Drop in new dristributor and tighten bolt.
3 - Transfer ignition leads from old distributor cap to new cap.
4 - Connect black/green wire to negative side of coil.
5 - Connect red wire to postive side of coil.
6 - Start engine and check timing with timing light.
 
NOTE: Primary resistance of ignition coil (measured across +ve and -ve sides of coil) must be minimum 1.5ohms.  So far, we have not seen a coil lower than this so it's not really an issue, so it will work fine with stock and most aftermarket coils. NOTE: Primary resistance of ignition coil (measured across +ve and -ve sides of coil) must be minimum 1.5ohms.  So far, we have not seen a coil lower than this so it's not really an issue, so it will work fine with stock and most aftermarket coils.
